Group Therapy
Some of this work is done in a group, alongside other men facing the same struggle.
Men's Inner Child Healing Group
An in-person men's group focused on the attachment wounds and early relational patterns that continue to shape adult life. The group draws on the "don't talk, don't trust, don't feel" framework developed by Claudia Black, helping men recognize and work through the survival patterns they learned early on and have carried ever since.
This is not a 12-step or formally affiliated ACA program. It's a clinical group grounded in inner-child and attachment-based work, facilitated directly by Shimon Frankel.
Format: In-person · Facilitated by Shimon Frankel, LCSW, CSAT
Help Her Heal Group (In-Person)
A structured men's group for men working to support their wives' healing after the discovery of sex addiction and betrayal. The group uses Help Her Heal: An Empathy Workbook for Sex Addicts to Help Their Partners Heal, by Carol Juergensen Sheets, LCSW, CSAT, CCPS, PCC, and Allan J. Katz, LPC, CSAT, as its foundation.
The workbook provides the skeleton, but the work itself goes further. Sessions combine process-oriented discussion with interactive psychodramatic role play, giving men the chance to actually practice empathy and accountability in the room, not just read about it.
Format: In-person, second office location · Facilitated by Gamliel Beyda, LSW and Motty Weiss, LSW, CSAT Candidate
Gamliel trained with the Gottman Institute and specializes in working with couples. Motty has extensive training through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals in treating complex trauma and addiction.
Help Her Heal Group (Online)
The same Help Her Heal curriculum and process-based, psychodramatic approach, offered in a 10-week online format for men who can't attend in person. Meets weekly on Thursday evenings via Zoom.
Format: Online via Zoom · 10-week program · Thursday evenings · Facilitated by Shimon Frankel, Gamliel Beyda, and Motty Weiss, CSAT Candidate
